FTGIS Planning Data Attributes
The following variables, either extracted or calculated from 2000 Census Summary Tape File #1, are currently included in FTGIS for all census layers:
- Total population
- Total White population
- Total Black or African American population
- Total American Indian and Alaska Native population
- Total Asian population
- Total Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander population
- Total population of some other race
- Population of two or more races
- Total population of Hispanic or Latino origin
- Total male population
- Total female population
- Number of persons between 0 and 4 years old
- Number of persons between 5 and 9 years old
- Number of persons between 10 and 14 years old
- Number of persons between 15 and 17 years old
- Number of persons between 18 and 19 years old
- Number of persons between 20 and 24 years old
- Number of persons between 25 and 29 years old
- Number of persons between 30 and 39 years old
- Number of persons between 40 and 49 years old
- Number of persons between 50 and 59 years old
- Number of persons between 60 and 69 years old
- Number of persons between 70 and 79 years old

- Take transit to work for workers 16 years or over
- Use other modes to work for workers 16 years or over
- Work at home for workers 16 years or over
- Travel time to work less than 14 min for workers 16 years or over
- Travel time to work is 15-29 min for workers 16 years or over
- Travel time to work is 30-59 min for workers 16 years or over
- Travel time to work is 1 hour or more for workers 16 years or over
- Transit travel time to work is less than 30 min for workers 16 years or over
- Transit travel time to work is 30-44 min for workers 16 years or over
- Transit travel time to work is 45-59 min for workers 16 years or over
- Transit travel time to work is 1 hour or more for workers 16 years or over
- Time leaving home to work between 12:00 am and 4:59 am for workers 16 years or over
- Time leaving home to work between 5:00 am and 5:59 am for workers 16 years or over
- Time leaving home to work between 6:00 am and 6:59 am for workers 16 years or over
- Time leaving home to work between 7:00 am and 7:59 am for workers 16 years or over
- Time leaving home to work between 8:00 am and 8:59 am for workers 16 years or over
- Time leaving home to work between 9:00 am and 11:59 am for workers 16 years or over
- Time leaving home to work between 12:00 pm and 3:59 pm for workers 16 years or over
- Time leaving home to work between 4:00 pm and 11:59 pm for workers 16 years or over

In addition to census data, the following employment variables were also built in by aggregating the point employment data from InfoUSA into census blockgroup and census tract layers:
